In other capacities:


Paul also has a broad range of experience as a runner, AD and producer across funded and unfunded short film, music videos. and television.


In 2020 Paul was one of the Open Horizons #2 cohort with Northern Film + Media (supported by the Film and Television Charity) as well as being a participant on the Widening the Lens programme with Encounters Film Festival (supported by ScreenSkills).


In September 2020 I was a participant on the STORY FUTURES ACADEMY IDEATE BOOTCAMP in partnership with Creative England, The two-day Bootcamp was open to those in the film, television, theatre or games industry keen to explore immersive storytelling and develop the skills and knowledge required to become a creator in VR/AR or MR.


As a writer-director my dark comedy script for THE END - which was a runner-up in The Pitch Film Competition in January 2019 is currently being packaged for funding. The project was developed with film and television puppeteer Julia Frost (Netflix's THE DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE, THE FURCHESTER HOTEL).


In 2017 I was a participant of the inaugural  CLOSR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME with Raising Films which has the support of the Creative England, Directors UK, Pact and WGGB. The personal and network development pilot scheme was for writers, directors and producers based in the English regions (outside Greater London) who are parents or carers.
